Buon Giorno

For the long weekend, we decided to go to Tagaytay for 3 things: to try a new restaurant, go horse back riding and scout for a restaurant for unica ija’s 3rd birthday celebration.

Since it was still early, we went horse back riding first beside Taal Vista.  Actually, it was just hubby and Vera as I was the photographer.

After the ride, we went to Buon Giorno at Clliffhouse Tagaytay for lunch.  I have heard so many good things about this place and we were glad we finally had time to go there.  It was all worth it.

Dessert @ Cafe Breton

hubby and the little princess looking at the crepe maker

Met up with my sister in Laguna for some important documents I have to pick-up from her.  Since Amber was on the way, bought 20pcs pichi-pichi (PHP80.00) to go.  Was suppose to order a barbecue but we have to wait for 30 minutes for that.  No time.

On our way back, hubby asked us if we want dessert at Cafe Breton. Of course I agreed! I love that place! But for someone who asked if we want dessert, hubby ordered a non-dessert food and he was the first one to make fun of himself. LOL!

@ Chelsea with Friends

L-R: Ginny, Cez, Maver, Jen (with JM), Me (with the little princess), Gigi

Finally! An impromptu lunch was planned days before the actual meet-up. It’s really better to arrange an impromptu get together than plan it. Why? Well, we’ve been planning to dine out together for ages and we almost never get complete and it happened several times already. One was when jbstar was still pregnant with little star, we met up at Italliani’s Alabang. Then the next one was early this year at Omakase with gigil and jbstar. Well at least they were able to try Omakase and was glad they loved it! One thing common though, my little princess was always with us during these three occasions not including the one other meet-up at Hula-Hula (@ Westgate, Filinvest) where I was still pregnant with her :D

So anyway, we finally had an impromptu Lunch last Friday at Chelsea Market & Cafe at Serendra. Thank goodness for plurk we were able to set it up. But since it’s a Friday and lunch time at that, we had limited time. Well, for ginny and cez since they still have to report for work. Still, we had a great time and all agreed it was bitin! Hoping next time it would be much longer and we could be complete and more. Soon girls! Ang daming line-up specially within our vicinity… :)

Rai rai ken's Super California & Crunchy Salmon Maki

Super California & Crunchy Salmon Maki, PHP215.00

We were suppose to eat dinner buffet at Bellevue but hubby was not feeling good come Alabang exit (from Makati). We even stopped after the tollgate so to exchange, I am going to drive from Alabang to our place, which was about 15 minutes WITHOUT traffic.

It was a Saturday and about 6 in the evening. We’re at our usual route, Commerce Ave – Daang Hari then Friendship route. Guess what, it took me an hour from Vivere to Acacia Road and was stuck at the inner most lane. I was itching to go out and just use the main road but can’t. Only able to do so when we were stopped at Commerce corner Acacia.

Anyway, hubby felt better after our one hour ordeal just to get home from the usual 15 minute trip. He asked me if we could stop by SM Southmall for dinner first before going home and so off I drove to SM. We ended up at Rai Rai Ken since he was craving for a ramen. Not my first time at Rai Rai Ken but it was my first time to see their new maki selection. Out of curiosity and since I was still Omakase deprived, I ordered the Super California & Crunchy Salmon Maki.
